Grating is a structural element that has a high load-bearing capacity with a low dead weight and a high level of transparency. The positive-fitting connection of the bearing bars and cross bars with the surround make the grating not only a very stable, but also visually attractive product. As an extremely robust, safe yet light platform flooring, the grating is indispensable in all areas of heavy industry.
Our Electroforged Gratings are made using the Electro-Forging process. Gratings are manufactured by PLC controlled equipment which combines high hydraulic pressure (more than 100 Tonnes) and high electric current (approx. 2200 amps) to electro-forge the cross bar and bearing bar into a single standard panel.
The Electro Forging process eliminates any crack or open joint. The strength of bearing bar is also retained. The square twisted bar (cross bar) are properly set-in the bearing bar such that it projects out of the grating top member by only a little more than 1 mm. This improves the slip resistance during walking. Electro forged Grating Panels are generally manufactured to 6000 mm lengths.
The panels are then cut to exact Spans as per the customer requirements. The cut panels are then taken for welding of the Banding Bar.
The gratings are then Hot Dip Galvanized.
